Details
The Netherlands is the world’s cycling champion. According to the Cycling Counts report, 61,3% of the Dutch population (aged 15+) cycles at least once per week and cycling accounts for 27-28% of all trips. But what about cycling tourism in and to the Netherlands? A large share of the Dutch population cycles for leisure and tourism, and not only for commuting, while the famous Dutch high-quality cycling infrastructure and cycling culture attract foreign tourists. The first panel discussion of the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference will dive into the Dutch cycling culture and its influence in Europe.
