Route description to Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City
By car
From Den Haag and Schiphol
- Motorway Den Haag – Amsterdam (A44 or A4-A10)
- When you are at the junction RAI (S109/S110) turn right at the first traffic lights (in front of Novotel Amsterdam City)
- At the traffic lights in front of the RAI (RAI at left-hand side) turn right (President Kennedylaan)
- Turn right at the 3rd traffic light, direction Utrecht (A2), Amstel Business Park
- Take 1st junction just across the bridge over the river Amstel (Amstel Business Park)
- Keep following the road under the bridge and Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City at your left hand side
From Utrecht
- Motorway Utrecht – Amsterdam (A2)
- Take the most left lane and follow the sign Amsterdam Centrum
- Just before you enter Amsterdam take junction “Amstel Business Park”
- Turn right and you will find Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City at your left hand side
From Amersfoort – Hilversum
- Motorway Amsterdam (A1)
- Keep direction Amsterdam / Diemen
- Junction “Ringweg – Oost”, direction Centrum / Den Haag (A10)
- Junction “Centrum / Utrecht” (A2)
- Junction “Amstel Business Park”
- Turn right at the junction, take the first exit left and you will find Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City at your left hand side
Public transport
From Centraal Station / Amstel Station
- Take subway 51 (direction Amstelveen Westwijk).
- Exit at station “Overamstel” this is the 7th stop
- At the metro stop take exit “Joan Muyskenweg”, walk down the stairs. Do not take the other exit as you will Exit the station and continue walking under a bridge
- Cross the parking lot and walk past the Meertens Institute towards the main road
- Turn right after passing the Meertens Institute and walk down this road, Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City is approximately 6 minutes walking distance at your right hand side
From Schiphol / Rai Congres Centrum
- Take the train towards Enschede, Venlo, Nijmegen or Groningen and exit at Amsterdam Zuid (trains to this station run multiple times per hour)
- Change to subway 51 (direction Centraal Station) or subway 50 (direction Gein)
- Exit at metro stop Overamstel, this is the 2nd stop
- At the station take exit “Joan Muyskenweg”, walk down the stairs. Exit the station and continue walking under a bridge
- Cross the parking lot and walk past the Meertens Institute towards the main road
- Turn right after passing the Meertens Institute and walk down this road, Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City is approximately 6 minutes walking distance at your right hand side
From Amsterdam Arena
- Take subway 50 (direction Isolatorweg) from station Bijlmer or Amsterdam Arena
- Exit at station Overamstel, this is the 4th stop
- At the metro stop take exit “Joan Muyskenweg”, walk down the stairs. Exit the station and continue walking under a bridge
- Cross the parking lot and walk past the Meertens Institute towards the main road
